By accepting these terms, you also agree to P&G Pakistan right as the final decision making authority in all cases, with its decision being final and binding for all.

Business Launch Challenge

1. Introduction & Eligibility

1.1	The Business Launch Challenge
	The P&G Business Launch Challenge (henceforth the ‘BLC’) is a national level competition organized by Procter & Gamble Pakistan Pvt. LTD (henceforth ‘P&G Pakistan’), under the umbrella of its ‘P&G University Challenge’ initiative. The aim of this competition is to give participating students a real life experience of professional decisions taken by individuals working in a competitive FMCG industry. This project is part of the P&G Pakistan Human Resources initiatives and on-campus communication plan, and is geared towards enhancing participating students’ grasp of the industry in general and P&G Pakistan’s business in particular. No participation fee or purchase is required.

1.2	Eligibility Criteria
	Any student, who belongs to a university recognized by the Higher Education Commission (HEC) as a degree awarding centre, is eligible to compete. Additionally participating students must be enrolled in any one (or more) of the following academic disciplines: Business, Finance, Economics, Mathematics, Engineering and Liberal Arts. However the following rules must be observed:
	1	Any student/s under the age of 18 years must have consent of his/her parent or guardian to accept these terms and conditions, and to participate in this competition.
	2	Students must compete as a team. A team must consist of exactly 5 members. Team members can belong to any program or batch. However, all participants in one team must be enrolled at the same university or college.
	3	A team can only register to participate by applying online using this website. P&G Pakistan will not accept participation request made through any other medium. Registration will be made on first-come-first serve basis, and the final participation decisions made by P&G Pakistan will be final and binding for all.
	4	The team composition must be decided before registering, with each team member having read and agreed to these terms and conditions. The team composition cannot be changed once a registration request has been made online.
	5	A team whose composition is changed on the day of the competition (in terms of number of members or names of members) will be disqualified automatically. However, under exceptional circumstances, P&G Pakistan reserves the right to allow teams to participate if they fall short of one member less than the total number registered. These circumstances are: Accidental emergencies, pregnancy or hospitalization.
	6	Students who have, in the past, held full time positions at P&G Pakistan (or any affiliate, partner and/or subsidiary of P&G Pakistan) are not eligible to participate.
	7	Students who have, in the past, held part time or contractual positions at P&G Pakistan (or any affiliate, partner and/or subsidiary of P&G Pakistan) are not eligible to participate.
	8	Students who have, in the past, interned at P&G Pakistan (or any affiliate, partner and/or subsidiary of P&G Pakistan) are not eligible to participate.
	9	All participating students must provide proof of identity (through a National Identification Card) and proof of enrollment (through a university student card or bona fide student letter) at the beginning of the competition. This documented evidence must remain on the person of each participant for the entire duration of the competition.
	10	Any team or individual that registers more than once will be automatically disqualified.
	11	P&G Pakistan reserves the right to disqualify teams if said rules are not abided to strictly. P&G Pakistan also reserves the right not to disqualify teams at its discretion.

2. Competition Dynamics

2.1	Overview
	The BLC involves teams working on product launch plans for a variety of P&G global brands. Brands will be assigned randomly to participating teams a set number of days before the actual competition. During the BLC competition, teams will present their plans and will be presented scenarios in each round.
2.2	Registration
	To register, students must use the official website (www.pguniversitychallenge.pk). All required fields on the application form must be completed to successfully forward the request for participation. P&G Pakistan can accommodate a finite number of teams; therefore registrations will be made on first-come-first-serve basis. Students from universities based in Karachi and Sindh must register for the BLC Edition being held in Karachi. Students from universities based outside Karachi and Sindh must register for the BLC Edition being held in Islamabad. Upon completion of the registration form, the team leader will be assigned a unique username and password, allowing him/her access to a team portal. This team portal can be used to edit the team information (if required) and can also be used to track status of pending applications, download participant toolkits, etc. Upon successful submission of the participation request, P&G Pakistan reserves the right to communicate the final decision at any time, and through any medium. However, P&G Pakistan will, in most circumstances, use the email address of the Team Leader to send out communications to individual teams.
2.3	Successful Registration
	Once a team is successfully registered it must submit, within the stated timelines, a short Business Review electronically via email. Details about the contents of this review, and its submission date will be provided in the successful registration email. Teams will not be judged on the basis of the Business Review, it will instead be used by P&G Pakistan to understand the thought process of participating students. P&G Pakistan reserves the right to disqualify teams that do not submit the business reviews within the stated time limit. P&G reserves the right to qualify some teams as ‘waitlisted for participation’. These teams must also submit the short Business Review, and may be eligible to participate if Business Reviews are not submitted by teams with confirmed participation.
2.4	Participation Toolkit
	Final participation will be confirmed to team leaders, via email or through the online portal, upon successful submission of the Business Review. Participating product brands will be assigned randomly to the finalized list of competing teams. P&G Pakistan will communicate the selected brand for each team via an email or through the online portal to the team leader. The email will direct the team leader to an internet link through which s/he can download the Participation Toolkit for his/her team’s product brand. The Participation Toolkit includes detailed information pertaining to the contents of the competition, and the expectations from each team. This toolkit must be used as a general guideline. Detailed rules of the competition will be made available within this toolkit.
2.5	Participation in the Competition
	The BLC Competition will be a 3 day event. There will be two editions; one in Karachi and one in Islamabad. Both editions will be stand alone, and participating teams will only complete in one edition. Each edition of the BLC will consist of the following rounds:
		Round 1: Launch & Leverage Plan
		Round 2: Exploration Round
		Round 3: The Final Round

Round 1: Launch & Leverage Plan
	All teams will participate in Round 1. Teams will give stand alone presentations rather than competing head to head with each other. However, grading and elimination/progression decisions will be made on a relative scale. These presentations must be shared on a USB with the BLC Logistics Team on Day 1, before the competition starts. The presentations provided to the Logistics team will be the final version used in the actual competition. Participating teams should ensure they bring back up USBs loaded with their presentation. The Logistics Team shall not accept or transfer data from corrupted and/or virus affected USBs. In Round 1, all teams working on one particular product brand will be placed in one room. Each team will have a maximum of 10 minutes to present their Launch & Leverage plan to the judge. Details about the contents of this presentation will be made available in the Participation Toolkit. Based on each teams’ individual performance in this round, the judge will eliminate a pre-determined number of teams. This number will be communicated to all participating teams on the first day of the competition. All decisions made by the judges will be final and binding.

Round 2: Exploration Round
	Teams that successfully clear Round 1 will move on to the second round. The Exploration Round is designed to test the caliber of each team’s Launch & Leverage Plan. Teams in Round 2 will be provided a brief on what exactly is expected of them right after the results of Round 1 are announced.. Participating teams will be allotted a pre-determined amount of time to prepare their presentations on this brief, before presenting them to the judge. In Round 2, all teams working on one particular product brand will be placed in one room. Details about the presentation dynamics, time allowed, etc shall be shared before Round 2 commences. Based on each teams’ individual performance in this round, the judge will eliminate a pre-determined number of teams. This number will be communicated to all participating teams on the first day of the competition. All decisions made by the judges will be final and binding.

Round 3: The Final
	Successful teams from Round 2 will proceed to the final on Day 2. The Final Presentation involves fine-tuning the Launch & Leverage plan based on the Exploration Round and the feedback from the judges in Round 1 and 2. It also involves developing a counter-reaction plan based on actions taken by a competitor (this situation will be provided to teams well in advance). The Final also includes Q&A sessions with the judging panel, where the teams should expect to be questioned on the finer points of their plan. In the Final, participating teams will not necessarily represent only one product brand. Instead the finalists may represent a variety of the participating brands. Therefore, in the Final, teams will be judged on their presentations and not the feasibility of their particular product brand versus the product brand of another team. Based on each teams’ individual performance in the Final, the Judging Panel will decide on one winning team for the BLC, one 2nd Place team, and one 3rd Place team. All decisions made by the judges will be final and binding.

3. Judging Criteria

	Each presentation in each round will be judged on the following factors: Feasibility (are the plans relevant and actionable), Creativity of the plans, Understanding of the brand, Presentation structure, and overall communication skills.

4. Prizes

	The winning team (from both editions) will receive a case prize of PKR 50,000. The 2nd placed teams (from both editions) will receive a cash prize of PKR 30,000. The 3rd placed teams (from both editions) will receive a cash prize of PKR 20,000. All participating teams and team members will receive certificates of participation from P&G Pakistan.

5. Travel & Accommodation Information for Lahore based Teams

	P&G Pakistan shall provide a Travel & Accommodation facility for participating teams from Lahore (participating in the Islamabad Edition) on a first-come-first-served basis. The following rules and regulations will apply in this regard:
	1	Travel and accommodation shall be provided to the first 20 teams that register. P&G Pakistan will cover 50% of the cost.
	2	Travel and accommodation shall include a return ticket for travel between the home city and host city, and accommodation for the duration of stay in the host city.
	3	The mode of travel shall be via road. P&G will get in touch with registered teams for further details regarding this.
	4	Accommodation will be provided at a location of our choosing. Teams (or team members) that wish to stay elsewhere will need to do so at their own expense, and with the permission of their respective university.
	5	All traveling teams taking advantage of this benefit shall need to sign a waiver form exempting P&G from any liability for any damages that may be incurred during travel and accommodation.
	6	P&G reserves the right to amend, add to, or remove this benefit at any given time, and without prior notice.

Universities Champions League

1. Introduction & Eligibility
1.1	Introduction
	The P&G Universities Champions League (henceforth, ‘UCL’) is a football competition organized by P&G Pakistan under the umbrella of its ‘P&G University Challenge’ initiative. The aim of this competition is to give participating university football teams an opportunity to compete head to head to be recognized as the ‘P&G UCL Champion 2010’. The project is part of the P&G Pakistan Human Resources initiatives and on-campus communication plan. No participation fee or purchase is required. The will be two editions of the UCL tournament (a Karachi Edition and a Islamabad Edition). Students from universities based in Karachi and Sindh must register for the BoB Edition being held in Karachi. Students from universities based outside Karachi and Sindh must register for the BoB Edition being held in Islamabad. The UCL tournament will be done in conjunction with the Sports Society of the host university. All decision making power will remain with P&G Pakistan, whereas he Sports Society will help facilitate and provide logistical support.
1.2	Eligibility Criteria
	Participation in this event is by invitation only. P&G Pakistan reserves the right to shortlist and invite universities at its discretion. The following rules and regulations must be adhered to by participating universities:
	1	Invited universities must confirm their participation within the prescribed time limit.
	2	Confirmation of participation will be done on first-come-first-serve basis. Invited universities that confirm their participation later than others will either be rejected or put on waitlist.
	3	The only exception to the above is an automatic entry for the host university’s official team.
	4	Universities that confirm their participation and then pull out of the tournament at any stage will be disqualified from participating in future editions of the UCL tournament. P&G Pakistan reserves the right to quash this disqualification if presented with strong evidence justifying the pull out. All decisions made by P&G Pakistan in this regard will be final and binding.
	5	Only the official football teams of participating universities are eligible to play. Therefore all team members will need to furnish both proof of identity (through a National Identification Card) and proof of enrollment at the beginning of the tournament.
	6	Each team can consist of a minimum of 11 players and a maximum of 14 players.
	7	P&G Pakistan will provide each team with personalized kits. Details of this will be made available in the official invitation letter for the UCL tournament.
	8	Each team and each player must accept the terms and conditions, and provide his signature, on a liability waiver form releasing P&G and the host Sports Society of any injury and/or damage occurring before, during or after the tournament.

2. Competition Dynamics
	Detailed rules and regulations for the UCL tournament will be provided in the official invitation sent out to selected universities by P&G Pakistan.

3. Prizes
	The winning university team shall be recognized as the P&G UCL Champion and will receive a team trophy and certificates. Upon transfer, this trophy shall become the sole property of the winning university. Additionally, the winning team will win Prize Money worth PKR 25,000 In addition, future UCL tournament trophies will be inscribed with the name of the previous edition’s winning university.

4. Travel & Accommodation Information for Lahore based Teams
	P&G shall provide travel and accommodation to teams from Lahore on a first-come-first-served basis. The following rules and regulations will apply in this regard:
	1	Travel and accommodation shall be provided to the first 4 teams that register.
	2	Travel and accommodation shall include a return ticket for travel between the home city and host city, and accommodation for the duration of stay in the host city.
	3	The mode of travel shall be via road. P&G will get in touch with registered teams for further details regarding this.
	4	Accommodation will be provided and paid for directly by P&G at a location of our choosing. Teams (or team members) that wish to stay elsewhere will need to do so at their own expense, and with the permission of their respective university.
	5	All traveling teams taking advantage of this benefit shall need to sign a waiver form exempting P&G from any liability for any damages that may be incurred during travel and accommodation.
	6	P&G reserves the right to amend, add to, or remove this benefit at any given time, and without prior notice.

Battle of the Bands

1. Introduction & Eligibility
1.1	The Battle of the Bands
	The P&G Battle of the Bands (henceforth the ‘BoB’) is a music competition for selected universities organized by Procter & Gamble Pakistan Pvt. LTD (henceforth ‘P&G Pakistan’), under the umbrella of its ‘P&G University Challenge’ initiative. The aim of this competition is to give participating universities’ musical bands an opportunity to compete head to head to be recognized as the ‘P&G Battle of the Bands Champions’. The project is part of the P&G Pakistan Human Resources initiatives and on-campus communication plan. No participation fee or purchase is required. The will be two editions of BoB competition (a Karachi Edition and a Islamabad Edition). Students from universities based in Karachi and Sindh must register for the BoB Edition being held in Karachi. Students from universities based outside Karachi and Sindh must register for the BoB Edition being held in Islamabad. The BoB tournament will be done in conjunction with the Music Society of the host university. All decision making power will remain with P&G Pakistan, whereas the Music Society will help facilitate and provide logistical support.
1.2	Eligibility Criteria

The method of short listing is left to the discretion of the university administration, however P&G Pakistan strongly recommends that the Music Societies of participating universities should short list the band.
	3	Confirmation of participation will be done on first-come-first-serve basis. Invited universities that confirm their participation later than others will either be rejected or put on waitlist.
	4	The only exception to the above is an automatic entry for the host university’s short listed band.
	5	Universities that confirm their participation and then pull out of the tournament at any stage, will be disqualified from participating in future editions of the BoB competition. P&G Pakistan reserves the right to quash this disqualification if presented with strong evidence justifying the pull out. All decisions made by P&G Pakistan in this regard will be final and binding.
	6	All members of the band must be from the same university, and must furnish both proof of identity (through a National Identification Card) and proof of enrollment at the start of the competition.
	7	Each team can consist of only 3, 4, or 5 members. However, P&G Pakistan reserves the right to allow for less or more members per band based on reasonable cases presented at the time of registration.
	8	P&G Pakistan will provide base level musical equipment, details of which will be part of the official invite sent to selected teams.
	9	Each band and each band member must accept the terms and conditions, and provide his/her signature, on a liability waiver form releasing P&G and the Music Society of any injury and/or damage occurring before, during or after the competition.

2. Competition Dynamics
	Detailed rules and regulations for the BoB competition will be provided in the official invitation sent out to selected universities by P&G Pakistan.

3. Prizes
	The winning university band shall be recognized as the P&G Battle of the Bands Champion. The winning band will also receive a cash prize of PKR 25,000 as prize money.

5. Wild Card Entry Rules & Regulations
	In addition to the bands selected by participating universities, there are also 4 wild card entry slots open to bands from any universities (based in Karachi and Sindh for the Karachi Edition, and based elsewhere for the Islamabad Edition) A wild card entry into the competition will allow a band to participate even if they have not been selected by their respective university/their university has not been invited to participate. There will be four wild card entry spots for each Edition of the event. The following rules and regulations must be kept in mind when applying for a wild card entry:
	1	To apply for a wild card entry, a band must upload a video of them performing a song on the P&G University Challenge. The video must be titled in the following way: BOB WILD CARD ENTRY
	2	P&G will select the 4 best entries per Edition. There will be two elements to the judging criteria; A) The number of ‘likes’ the video receives from the P&G University Challenge Fan page members, and B) the judgment of our Battle of the Bands judging expert (a prominent musical personality who shall also judge the actual competition).
	3	All other rules and regulations of the BoB competition will apply to the wild card teams.
